some news about mobile Cookie Clicker: due to phonegap being phased out, i am forced to migrate to another framework! currently experimenting with Capacitor, which seems to be the least awful solution so far. this will likely not be an easy transition

i’ll keep making progress on our other non-mobile stuff in the meantime, but i am determined to make this work. if i do this right saves won’t be affected at all but it’ll take a whole lot of testing to make sure. this is a setback! mobile dev is hell

update on this: managed to compile and run an apk using Capacitor, file size and performance seems about the same as with phonegap; encountered difficulties with plugins so file access (saving/loading) and ads are a problem for now; it’s entirely possible i’m a couple breakthroughs away from a solution but it’s also very possible i am not! in either case i’m calling it a day. if i make good progress on this later i’ll see if i can figure out iOS too. thank you for your patience, i worked hard on this app and i’m not letting it die
